Bryan (age 10)and Herbie, 1968

An Air Force brat, Bryan W. Fields was born in Missouri, then lived in Japan, New Mexico, Colorado, Florida, Arizona, Missouri again, Florida again, Mississippi, Japan again, Utah, and has spent the last twenty-two years in Denton, Texas.

A lifelong obsession with basset hounds has resulted in Lunchbox and the Aliens, and its sequel, Froonga Planet. In addition to writing zany children's novels, Bryan has published articles and columns in the Denton Record-Chronicle, Absolutewrite.com, Writers Weekly, Writing for Dollars, The Imperfect Parent, and Byline magazine.

                












He has also been a professional trumpet player, janitor, music teacher, business manager, customer service rep, and copy writer.


 

 

                                                                                                             
Bryan and his wife Lesli have five children (four still at home), two rabbits, and have been feeding a stray cat.  He is still negotiating for a basset hound.
